I spent most of my adult life living in Fredricksburg, Virginia, teaching at the local high school. Four years ago, we retired to Florida, to enjoy the good weather and our daughter, who lives in the state. Stop by, when you go to see the MOUSE.

Delbert Gottke, tragically passed away on June 4, 2008 in the San Diego, CA as the result of a fire in the home of Delbert and his wife Joanne Jacobs Gottke ('52).

After graduation, entered Marine Corps, until 1956. Worked for PA Railroad, then attended and graduated from California State Teachers College, in 1960, with B.S. in Industrial Arts Education. Taught at La Mesa Junior High School; later, La Mesa Middle School, until retirement in 1992(31 years). Married Joanne Jacobs '52, in 1960. Moved from El Cajon to San Diego, in 1964. Enjoy swimming and caring for our cats, one of which, a feral, I am training to domesticate. Enjoy the weather and beauty of the San Diego area. |

I married Jim Lewis, in April of 1956.
I had three children... Jeff, David and Bobby.
I worked at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital for 7 years and at the Mon Valley Health Center, in Family Planning, for 23 years. I became a Nurse Practitioner. I am now retired from nursing, but am now doing my love, sewing and alterations.
Bobby died, in 1993.
Jim died, in January, 1999.
I am on the reunion committee, planning our 50th, in 2003. |

KOSTICH, Helen Marie (Rice) IN MEMORIAM
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; Helen Marie Kostich Rice, 69, of Roscoe, formerly of Fallowfield Township, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, in Tara Hospital at Brownsville. She was born Jan. 4, 1936, in Stockdale, a daughter of the late Milija Komanko Kostich and Danica A. Senovich Kostich. She was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church in Charleroi, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Christian Mothers, Circle of Serbian Sisters, a past officer of the Fallowfield Township Ladies Auxiliary, Fallowfield Elementary PTA, and a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. Mrs. Rice was a graduate of Charleroi High School class of 1953 and a 1958 graduate of California State Teachers College. She taught in the McGuffey School District and Morganza. Mrs. Rice was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas E. Rice Sr. of Adult Assisted Living in Dunlevy; six children, Denise M. Bruno and husband John of Carroll Township, Wanda J. Russell of California, Thomas E. Rice II and wife Robin of California, Damian A. Rice and wife Sonya of Fallowfield Township, Kevin E. Rice and wife Cheryl of Scenery Hill, and Elizabeth A. Wolff and husband Jared of Shaler Township; nine grandchildren, John Bruno Jr. and wife Leigh, Joseph Bruno and wife Jodi, Jenna Russell, Thomas Rice III, Hannah Russell, Cody Levin, Halee and Diego Fedrick, and Caroline Rice; three great-grandchildren, Kirstie, Anthony and Giovani Bruno; one sister, Millie Strelecki of Adult Assisted Living of Dunlevy; one brother, Milan "Ted" Kostich and wife Joan of Irwin; one sister-in-law, Pat Mozina and husband Joe of Latrobe; two special aunts, Alice Ferment of Fair Oaks and Helen Senovich of Imperial; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., Roscoe, where prayer services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.

RAMUSIVICH, Anthony
Anthony "Jack" Ramusivich, 70, of Charleroi, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, in Mon Valley Hospital. Born Dec. 24, 1934, in Charleroi, he was a son of the late Anthony "Tony" Ramusivich and Mary Podany Ramusivich Ondris. He was Russian Orthodox by faith. Mr. Ramusivich was retired from Mon Valley Hospital as a radiology technician after 44 years of service at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital and Mon Valley Hospital. He was a 1953 graduate of Charleroi High School, a member of the National Radiological Association and the Charleroi Fishing Club. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Ramusivich loved hunting and was dedicated to fresh water fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tillie Ann Hall Ramusivich, in 1997; a son, Mark Anthony Ramusivich, in 1992; and his daughter, Mary Ann Ramusivich, on June 19, 2005. Private funeral services were held today with interment in Monongahela Cemetery. The LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC., Charleroi, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Monongahela Valley Hospital or Three Rivers Family Hospice, 3001 Jacks Run Road, Empire Building/Second Floor, White Oak, Pa. 15131.
