I married Bill Saunders(Class of 1956), in 1960. We have four children, two boys, Bill and Brad and two girls, Shari and Karyn. All are married and we presently have five grandchildren, four girls and one boy. I recently retired as a Pharmacy Technician and we are blessed to have 3 out of 4 of our children and their families living in the area. Brad and his family live in Kentucky.

FILLA, Gerald M.
A memorial service for Gerald M. "Jerry" Filla, 68, of Monessen, who died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at his home, was held today at 11 a.m. in The Orchard Christian Fellowship, Monessen. He was born March 31, 1939, in California, a son of the late Conrad Luke and Olive Grace Dickinson Filla. He was a 1957 graduate of Charleroi High School. A veteran, he served with U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1958. He was employed by the former BethEnergy Mines at the Wilson Shop in Ellsworth, where he worked as a mechanic. Mr. Filla was a member of UMWA Local 1197 and The Orchard Christian Fellowship in Monessen. At the time of his death, he was in his third year at the Shiloh Bible Institute, Washington, where he was studying to become a minister. His wife, Velma E. Bench Filla, died July 11, 2001. Surviving are six children, Wendy Ann Filla Dresser, of Penn Hills, Eleanor Lynn Filla Brubaker, of Atlanta, Ga., Ann-Marie Filla Matthews, of Beaver, Sally Jean Bradshaw, of Gulfport, Miss., Terri Michelle Filla Tafelski, of Newport, Mich., and Jerry Michael Filla, of Perth, Western Australia; two sons, Joseph John Obosky, of Bentleyville, and John Joseph Gordon, of Clarksville; 15 grandchildren, including Sheila Harosky, Nicole Anderson and Joseph John Obosky Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Harosky, Joshua Anderson, Cole Joseph Obosky and Logan Anderson; a sister, Lena Herman, of Monongahela; a brother, Gary Filla, of Atlanta, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine "Tena" Zelinsky; and a brother, Conrad Filla. At the request of the deceased, there was no public viewing. Contributions may be made in memory of Gerald M. "Jerry" Filla to: The Orchard Christian Fellowship, 721 Schoonmaker Ave., Monessen, Pa. 15062. Condolences can be sent at www.thompson-marodi.com. 'ALWAYS IN MY HEART'
Ronald passed away on April 17, 1999. While at CHS, Ronald was a member of the band where he played the trumpet and coronet. He hailed from the Stockdale area of CSD. Ron was married to his high school sweetheart, the former Sandra Lundy, Class of 1958, for 42 years. They had a son and a daughter, both of whom reside in California. Ron had his own business, installing and repairing computers, in San Diego.
