ARRIGO, Joseph (IN MEMORIAM)
"IN LOVING MEMORY"


Joe passed away suddenly of heart disease in 1984, at the young age of 44. Joe was married with two children. He taught biology and coached football and tennis at Mount Pleasant Area High School. He was a beautiful human being who loved life. His loss continues to be felt by his many friends and family members.

Married 41 years, to James Behanna, of Bentleyville. We married on August 5, 1961, at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland, in the central chapel. We have two sons James, Jr. and Daniel, both married. James, Jr. and his wife Tori, have no children and live in Killeen, TX. Daniel and his wife Kim, have two children... Katelyn, by Kim's first marriage and Ryan William, who was born on December 20th, our first grandchild. We are retired- Jim, from the army, 21 years, the civil service at Fort Hood, 15 years and contract work, for 2. I am retired from the banking industry.
BAKA, Robert L. (In Memoriam)
Robert L. Baka, 68, of Charleroi, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, in Flo's Personal Care Home, Elco. He was born Sept. 16, 1938, in Charleroi, a son of the late Michael and Mary Uchach Baka. He graduated from Charleroi High School, Class of 1958 and was very active in the First United Methodist Church in Charleroi, where he held the positions of head usher, chairperson of the administrative board, and president/ treasurer for the United Methodist Men. Mr. Baka also was a member of American Legion Post No. 22 of Charleroi. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 through 1965. Over the last 27 years Bob had been very active in scouting, earning several recognitions, including the Silver Beaver Award, District Award of Merit, the Frank Vitali Memorial Award, Cross and Flame Religious Award, and he completed Wood Badge training. He also was a member of the Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow and taught "outdoor skills" at the Mon Valley Cub Scout Day Camp in the summer months. He was retired from U.S. Steel, Irvin Works plant with 35 years or service. Surviving is his wife Doris Simmons Baka; four sons, Arthur, Donald, Steven and Michael Baka, all of Charleroi; two grandchildren, Heather and Derrick Baka; two brothers, Joseph Baka and wife Bonnie, of Leechburg, and Thomas Baka and wife Sharon, of McKeesport; two sisters, Dorothy Behanna and husband Jim, of Harker Heights, Texas, and Eileen Frolo and husband Larry, of Rostraver Township (Collinsburg); and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., www.schrock-hogan.com, 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Northey officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. The family requests donations be made to: Charleroi Boy Scout Troop No. 1131, c/o Ken Brandeburg, 428 Oakland Ave., Charleroi, Pa. 15022.

I graduated from Charleroi High School vocational electrical shop. From 1961 to 65, I was an aviation electrician in the US Navy. From 1966- 2001, I worked for U.S. Steel- Irvin Works, as a motor inspector. I am now, retired. I am active with Charleroi Boy Scout Troop #1131.

COLDITZ, James IN MEMORIAM
James "J.D." Colditz, 64, of East Syracuse, N.Y., formerly of Allenport, also known as "Ludo", lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jan. 24, 1941, in The Uniontown Hospital, a son of the late Frederick and Eleanor Miller Colditz. He graduated from Charleroi High School in 1958 and from the Pittsburgh Aeronautical Institute. Mr. Colditz was a member of Allenport Methodist Church and served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Prudential Insurance Company and won many awards for outstanding service and sales. Mr. Colditz enjoyed coaching the Charleroi American Legion Magician baseball team and the Cicero Little League. He was a member of Bridgeport VFW Post 8440 and Arthur Butler American Legion Post 359. Mr. Colditz was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman and bowler. Prior to his disability retirement, he was the owner-operator of Denton Transportation. He is survived by his wife, Judy, and sons J.D., at home, Chipper, of Cicero, N.Y., and Craig, of Greensboro, N.C. From a previous marriage, he is survived by sons Jeffrey, Daniel and Christopher Colditz. Other survivors include two sisters, Patti Paluso and husband Eugene, and Susie Usher and fiance Frank Scaglione; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the DALONEY, GREABELL, ADYDON FUNERAL HOME, East Syracuse, N.Y. Services will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, in St. Mathews Church, followed by interment at St. Mathews Cemetery in Dewitt. In lieu of flowers by his request, an educational fund has been set up for his son J.D. by his aunt, Kathy Sullivan, 7190 Coventry Rd. South, East Syracuse, N.Y. 13057. FARQUHAR, Russell Allen IN MEMORIAM
Russell Allen Farquhar, 64, of Stockdale, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at his home. He was born May 7, 1940, in Charleroi, a son of the late Athel and Virginia Byers Farquhar. He was Methodist by faith, a 1958 graduate of Charleroi High School, and serving as a Stockdale councilman at the time of his death. Mr. Farquhar was a member of the Mon Valley Jednota Lodge and Bowling League and a retired salesman for Maple Creek Distributors. He is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marna and Douglas Prentice of Charleroi, Cheryl and Calvin Miller of Canonsburg; three grandsons, Douglas and Matthew Prentice of Charleroi and Joshua Miller of Canonsburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Janet Farquhar of Coal Center and Lonnie and Lil Farquhar of Allenport; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., Roscoe, where funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
