Harold passed away, on September 13, 2003, in Mon Valley Hospital. He retired in 2001, from U.S. Steel- Irvin Works. Pierre's favorite hobby was riding his Harley- Davidson. Surviving at death were his wife, Violet M. Byrne, 5 sons, Brad A. Behanna, Troy Harris, Shane Hyatt and twins, Jessie and Josh Hyatt, along with 2 daughters, Vicki Nuccetelli and Christine Seese. In addition, were his brother, Fred Behanna and sister, Grace Vestrat. |

DUNKERTON, Douglas (In Memoriam)
Douglas Dunkerton, 62, of Monongahela, formerly of Fallowfield Township, died peacefully in his home on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005. He was born Nov. 23, 1942, in North Charleroi, a son of the late Albert and Dorothy Douglas Dunkerton. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Monongahela and a graduate of Char1eroi High School class of 1960. Mr. Dunkerton was a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer and a Vietnam era veteran. He was employed by General Motors Corp. at their Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin. His memberships included the Pennsylvania Society of Archaeology Paul R. Stewart Chapter 19 in Waynesburg, the American Legion James C. Ford Post 949 in Dunkirk, the Cornerstone Genealogical Society of Waynesburg, and the Fleet Reserve Association. He is survived by his wife, Gail Kameron Dunkerton, with whom he celebrated 30 years of marriage; three daughters, Jennifer McBride and husband Dean, of Virginia Beach, Va., Kelly Gugliemini and husband Steve, of South Beach, N.C., and Julie Agostoni and husband Ronald, of New Eagle; a son, Jeffrey and wife Christina Scales, of Long Branch; eight grandchildren, Morgan McBride, of Virginia Beach, Va., Spencer Brown and Hunter and Ashlyn Gugliemini, of South Mills, N.C., and Alexander, Elizabeth, Victoria and Grace Scales, all of Long Branch; a sister, Leslie Harris and husband Donald, of Belle Vernon; his mother-in-law, Margaret Kameron, 97, of Monongahela; and best friend, Michael Gori, of Monongahela. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the L.M. FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held Monday, Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Bailey officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery, Ruff Creek.

KOSTICH, MILAN - In Memoriam
Milan "Ted" Kostich, 65, of North Irwin, died Thursday, July 3, 2008. He was born Nov. 26, 1942, in Charleroi, a son of the late Milaja and Danica Senovich Kostich. Prior to his retirement, Ted was the groundskeeper for Norwin School District with 15 years of service. He was previously employed by Westinghouse Electric, East Pittsburgh, as a maintenance mechanic. He was a member of St. Sava Church in McKeesport; a former volunteer for Rescue 8; a Vietnam War veteran and member of VFW Post 781. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 295 Webelos and Westinghouse Fire Department; active with many outdoor high school sports and coach for midget football. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Millie Strelecki and Helen Rice. Surviving are his beloved wife, Joan Paranick Kostich; three sons, Theodore M. and his wife, Karen, of Thompsontown, Michael J. and his wife, Crystal, of West Mifflin, and Joseph M., of North Versailles; and a daughter, Nicole Silks and her husband, Lucas, of Etter. He was a loving grandfather to his nine grandchildren, Courtney, Ashley, Teddy, Andy, Danica, Tyler, Kasumi, Brandon and Justin. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME INC., North Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in St. Sava Church, McKeesport. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VFW Post 781 or Thompsontown Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2 Birch Drive, Thompsontown, PA 17094. |
