I have been married to Patricia Hixenbaugh, since 1973. We have three sons and two grandchildren with one on the way. My oldest son is serving in the Navy Sub Service. I retired in 2003, after 40 years of engineering. My work has taken me all over the world, engineering and commissioning steel and chemical plants. I am a member of the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers and Board Director for the Laurel Valley Land Company. I served in the Army Corps of Engineers and was scout leader for 15 years. I am a student of Civil War history and served as a drummer in the Pennsylvania Eleventh Regiment, until age caught up with me. I enjoy oil painting, woodworking, travel, computers, and playing piano. Pat and I split our time living in the mountains at Whipkey Dam, Daytona Beach, and Fallowfield. HALL, Dale A. IN MEMORIAM
Dale A. Hall, 63, of Speers Hill, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, in the emergency room at Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1943, in North Charleroi, a son of the late James W. and Doris E. Griffith Hall. He was a member of the Realtors Association. Dale was a self-employed real estate appraiser. Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Barbara Bruno Hall; children, Jodi Hall Campano and husband Tom, of Rostraver Township, James W. Hall and wife Kristine, of Speers, and Marnie Hall, of Belle Vernon; one sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Michael Husenits, of Indiana, Pa.; three grandchildren, Tommy Bruno Campano, Joey Marco Campano and Gianna Josephine Hall; several nieces and nephews; his father-in-law, Joseph Bruno, of Dunlevy; and a sister-in-law, Connie Wilson, of Speers Hill. Friends will be received in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, on Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Dale A. Hall Memorial Scholarship Fund through the family.

I live in the town of my birth, Speers Hill, with my wife and fellow classmate, Barbara(Bruno) Hall. We have three children and three grandkids. I work as a real estate associate broker and residential real estate appraiser. Barb and I would love to hear from old friends and acquaintances.

POLINSKI, John A. (In Memoriam)
John A. Polinski, 62, of North Charleroi, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at his home following a brief battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 3, 1943, in North Charleroi, the son of John J and Martha J. Plasman Polinski. John graduated from Charleroi High School with the Class of 1961 and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church of Charleroi, the North Charleroi Slavic Citizens Club, the Monessen Eagles, the VFW, and the American Legion of Smethport. He retired March 1, 2006, from Dyno Nobel Inc. of Donora, where he was a chemical operator. His passion was his garden, fishing and hunting. John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brigitte Wagner Polinski; two daughters, Pam Rice and husband J.P., of North Charleroi, and Tammy Monack and husband Rich, of Charleroi; two brothers, Michael Polinski and wife Sherry, of Fallowfield Township, and Mark Polinski, of North Charleroi; four grandchildren, Corey Polinski, Lauren Monack, and Ashley and Patrick Rice; one niece, Dawn Alton and family; and three nephews, Michael Polinski and family, Mathew and Brian Polinski and family. There will be no public visitation. The SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES INC., (www.schrock-hogan.com) is in charge of the arrangements.

I graduated from Purdue University, in 1965. Commissioned, U.S. Navy- awarded Navy Pilot wings. Served in the Navy for 30 years, in various aviation, operational and RDT&E assignments. Retired, in 1995. Spent a year at Penn State's Applied Research Lab and over 5 years, with Lockheed Martin, as a program manager(missles, space and skunk works). Currently, Vice-President of Operations and pilot for ATSI... flying former military jets under Department of Defense contracts, out of Mesa, Arizona.
UPDATE 11/9/05: I am now living in Ridgecrest, CA, in the middle of the Mojave Desert. Nearest "town" (Mojave) is 60 miles away. Work for DCS Corporation, headquartered in Alexandria, VA, so get back east often. Building a Vans RV-8A homebuilt airplane. |
