MacDONALD, James T. (In Memoriam)
James Thomas MacDonald, 58, of North Charleroi, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, in Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was born May 17, 1949, in Brownsville, the son of the late Thomas and Agnes McLaughlin MacDonald. Jim was a graduate of Charleroi High School with the Class of 1967 and California University of Pennsylvania with the Class of 1988. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleroi and retired from PNC Bank. He is survived by his wife, Betty Layne MacDonald; two sons, J.R. MacDonald, of North Charleroi, and Jason MacDonald and wife Sherry, of Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Chelsea, James and Nicole; two step-sisters, Betty Ann Kelly, of Belle Vernon, and Gloria Tomer, of Royersford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Elsie MacDonald; and his sister, Lennie Pocky. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., (www.schrock-hogan.com), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 30, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Linn officiating. Interment will be in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.

Charlene F. Williams, 56, of Charleroi, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Jan. 21, 1950, in North Charleroi, a daughter of Charles and Lois Reis Moffit, of Charleroi. Charlene graduated from Charleroi High School with the class of 1967. She was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church and the Belgium Club, both of Charleroi, the Red Hat Society, and she was a member of a monthly card club, which met for 32 years. She was currently employed by the Westmoreland Waste, LLC County Hauling and affiliate of Merit Contracting, where she was the corporate secretary/treasurer for 18 years and a notary public. In addition to her parents, Charlene is survived by her husband, James E. Williams Jr.; her daughter and son, Amy Williams and James E. Williams III, both of Charleroi; her grandson, Nigel Summers; a brother, Charles B. Moffit Jr. and fiancee Glady, of Monongahela; a sister, Alice Lauderback, of Charleroi; two sisters-in-law, Diane Gray and husband Gary, of Charleroi, and Cindy Hanna and husband David, of Monessen; nieces and nephews, Jill Marefka and husband Robert, Amanda Roberts and husband Scott, Jennifer Oslowski and husband Chris, Brandy Rocca and Matthew Hanna; several great-nieces and nephews; and an uncle and aunt, Harry and Doris Reis, of Charleroi. Charlene loved spending time with her grandson and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES INC., (www.schrock-hogan.com), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, in Mary, Mother of the Church in Charleroi.
