I spent my 20's in D.C. parting very hard. I married in 1983, to Allen Scott. We
have two beautiful and wonderful children- Christopher, 22 and Amanda, 20. Allen and
I separated in 2000, staying the best of friends. My children now live in the D.C.
area. Amanda attends George Mason University and my son, Christopher recruits computer
people for government agencies. I work in Drakes Branch at a small company called
International Carbide and Engineering. We manufacture carbide tips for specialty
saw blades worldwide. I'm now single again and loving it. Hope to see everyone

DOWNER, Rebecca (IN MEMORIAM)
Rebecca Downer, 54, of Monongahela, died Monday, April 14, 2008, in the Washington County Health Center. She was born January 20, 1954, in New Eagle, a daughter of Ardith L. Boyd Downer, who survives and resides in Monongahela, and the late Charles R. Downer. Becky was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monongahela. She attended Meadow Avenue School in Charleroi. Becky loved her nieces and nephews, playing cards, country music and Barbie's. She was an avid walker in her neighborhood and was friends with everyone. In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sisters, Diane (Edward) Avau, of Monongahela, twin sister, Ramona (Jim) Koschak, of Hutchinson, and Cindy (James) Tatar, of Monongahela. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and all her skinny friends survive. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond "Butch" Downer. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held Friday, April 18, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Fierro officiating.
Committal service and interment will follow in Monongahela Valley Memorial Park, Donora. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Arc of Washington County, Foxpointe Center, Building 1 Suite 200, 201 Johnson Road, Houston, Pa. 15342.

Hello, 'Class of '72'.
After 28 years, the Navy still tolerates me. Often, read the online version of 'The Valley Independent'... have to keep track of the Cougars football team!! And, 'Soundoff' is a must for the humor. On rare occasion(I think of) the ole class song- forget the name right, now- know it when I hear it- 'As Time Goes By'(?), by Chicago. Is now, heard on in-store Muzak.
UPDATE(12/18/03): Went active with NMCI(Navy Marine Corps Intranet), over the summer and completely forgot to submit my new email address... just in case, someone(Deb Vincent stills resides in Mapleview) would like to say "hello".

Despite what Gary Souply says, I don't live in Mapleview anymore. I haven't been there since 1980. I live in Mt. Lebanon, have two kids, divorced, a great boyfriend, but I don't think I'll ever get married again. (Yes, it was that bad!!) I work as a creative director at an ad agency in downtown Pittsburgh... I get to go on exotic international video shoots with hot guys and expense accounts through the roof... Well, sort of... it's usually more like trips to Cincinnati and the Marriott Courtyard hotel. Still can't get over Susan Susko's death. We were still great friends after all these years, and I think about the tragedy of it almost daily. Stay happy and healthy. (12/14/04)

Of PA and completed my masters in elementary education, in May of 2004. I moved to North Carolina, in July '04. I teach 5th grade math, in Battleboro, NC. This will be my third year teaching here. David E. Wozniak, 50, of Lumberton, Texas, formerly of Charleroi, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Beaumont, Texas. He was born Aug. 19, 1954, in North Charleroi, a son of John and JoAnn Miller Wozniak of Charleroi. David was a graduate of Charleroi High School, Class of 1972 and employed with the Koch Specialty Plant Services in Nederland, Texas. In addition to his parents, David is survived by his wife, Denise Boulanger Wozniak; a daughter and son-in-law, Brianne and Brian Kahla of Lumberton, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Mark and June Wozniak of Fallowfield Township; his mother-in-law, Donna Boulanger of Charleroi; one niece and two nephews, Melissa, Nicholas and Nathan Boulanger; two brothers-in-law, David Boulanger and wife Toni of Charleroi and Douglas Boulanger and wife Kim of Speers. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Donald Boulanger. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Monongahela Cemetery.
