Charlie tragically passed away from a massive heart attack. He was the youngest of nine children of William and Edna Hodgson. Charlie is sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him and will never be forgotten.

HOLCOMB, Carol A. IN MEMORIAM
Carol Ann Holcomb, 51, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007. A lifelong resident of Charleroi, she was born March 11, 1955, in North Charleroi. She was the daughter of Richard Nelson and Bette Jeanne Holcomb, of Hermitage, formerly of Charleroi. Carol was a graduate of Charleroi High School with the Class of 1973 and had been employed for 29 years at the Corning Glass Plant in Charleroi, now World Kitchen, in the testing lab. She enjoyed movies and had an extensive collection of dolls. Carol was a talented crafter and painter of crafts. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Coal Center and active with the children of the church. She devoted her life to her family. In addition to her parents, Carol is survived by a sister, Nancy Jean Holcomb, of Erie; and a brother, Nelson Patrick Holcomb and wife Patricia Ann, of West Newton. The joys of her life were her nieces and nephews, Melanie Anne (Guy) Moyer and husband David Randall and their children, Jacob Andrew and Katelynn Faith, Monica Lynn (Guy) Shope and husband Steven Lewis and their children, Zachariah Michael, Olivia Anne, Emma Rae and William Nathan Shope, and Jeffrey Robert and Carla (Biddle) Johnson, James Marcus Johnson and Patrick Mark Johnson. Carol was preceded in death by a brother, Nathan David Holcomb, in 1986. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., (www.schrock-hogan.com), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. in Grace United Methodist Church, Coal Center, with Pastor Randy Landman officiating. Family members and friends attending the funeral services are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will be in Maple Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Grace United Methodist Church in memory of Carol A. Holcomb.

He was formerly employed by U.S. Steel, Irvin Works. Survivors include his son, Eric, of Charleroi; one brother, Earl Seighman, and one sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and John Susick, all of Charleroi.
