After 24 years of marriage, divorced and in 1999, moved to a small island off the coast of Washington, in the Pacific Northwest and remarried. Have been a nurse, since 1977; now, Assistant Director of Nursing, in a small skilled facility on the island. Family is all still in Charleroi. I visit at least once a year. After high school, I traveled ending in Arizona, where I joined the Navy. After service, I wound up in Abilene, Texas, where I married and raised a daughter and a son, for twenty-four years. I worked construction, city government and finally community action, before packing up and moving to Ohio, to start a new life. My first wife passed due to cancer. I am remarried to a lovely woman with two teenage sons - talk about a glutton for punishment. Married, with two children ... a daughter (14) who plays softball and is involved with the High School Band Front, and a son (11) who plays football and baseball, as well as takes karate. Both are becoming avid golfers, with my daughter making the Girls Varsity Golf Team as a freshman. I am an assistant coach for the Franklin Area Midget Football Association, for the 10/11 y/o Leopards team. We also enjoy biking and golfing as a family during the warmer months. |

It's nice reading about everyone and catching up a bit. After graduating from Notre Dame in 1979, I got my first job in the wine industry in California and have been here ever since. I just retired from Lawry's/Unilever after 24 years and am loving every minute of it. Enjoy walking my pup Oso, reading, writing, biking, yard work, travel, and all the good things So. Cal. has to offer. Recently bought a mountain cabin with a friend as a getaway up in the Tehachapi's. Linda Susan Amodei, 48, of Charleroi, died Saturday, June 25, 2005 in her home. She was born April 15, 1957 in North Charleroi, the daughter of Elizabeth Kalamas Tokar of North Charleroi and the late Michael F. Tokar. Linda was a graduate of Charleroi High School Class of 1975 and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Charleroi. Surviving, in addition to her mother, is her husband, Gary L. Amodei; a son, Sgt. Lee Anthony Amodei and wife Spec. Magan Johnson Amodei of Stuttgart, Germany; one daughter, Lindsay M. Amodei, at home; three sisters, Janis Fazio and husband Barry of Belle Vernon, Sandy Wilkinson and husband Bill of Charleroi, and Patti Kortina and Mark Krukowsky of Grindstone; one brother, Michael Tokar and wife Beverly of Monongahela; and nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Presbyterian Church of Charleroi, Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue, Charleroi. The SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME INC., Charleroi, is in charge of arrangements.
