WOW, this is cool! I just learned of this site, and am amazed at how many are still in the area or surrounding vicinities. I am happily married to a WONDERFUL man, but it took me 3 tries! He works for Port Authority and has a digging, concrete and construction business, too. I am an RN and have been at Mercy Hospital for 12 years (soon to be "UPMC Mercy"). Prior to Mercy, I worked as a nurse at the "big house" (Western Penitentiary) if you can believe that... what an experience! I have lived in Bethel Park for about 14 years and unfortunately, don't get to the "Good Ole Mon Valley" too often. We have been busy remodeling an old house which is fun, but time consuming and messy! I have a beautiful 24 year old daughter, who works for Citizen's Bank and is engaged to be married. We have a very close relationship and thankfully she lives near us. I am still very down-to earth, enjoy the simple things and appreciate my great life! Living near Philadelphia. Married(2nd one... whoops!), with a wonderful six year old son, Ben. I've been running my own business for the last seven years, Cowell Design(yeah, I actually wound up making pictures for a living!). Life is good- just enough worries to keep me busy. Greetings to all!
UPDATE 11/1/05: Living near Philadelphia. Ben is now nine. Cowell Design has passed the 10 year mark... as has my marriage (lol). Must be doing something right. I think it's all the traveling I do! Best wishes to you all. |

Updated 10/24/06: I'm happily married 21 years (Terri), one daughter (Loren) at Miss. State & one daughter (Lindsey) at Ga. State. Two bulldog fans!! I'm working offshore in the Gulf of Mexico on a oil drilling ship & loving it! my son (A.J.) attends an art academy for his jr/sr h.s. years. My wife is an asst. director & works for Sela Ward at a childrens shelter in Meridian. We love it here in MS, but I sure miss the mountains & snow! Hunting & fishing is great (8 deer a year). I survived hurricanes Katrina & Rita, while in the Gulf (what a wild ride that was, but the water is beautiful out here and we get to fly around in helicopters to work! This is a family picture from my wife's graduation at Miss. State, last year. I miss ya all! I usually visit the Mon Valley every other year. So drop me a line or foward my address to some of our classmates. Go Steelers!(and Penquins) - let's kick some butt this year!!!

RAMUSIVICH, Mary Ann (In Memoriam)
Mary Ann Ramusivich, 45, of Charleroi, died Sunday, June 19, 2005, in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Charleroi on March 22, 1960, she was the daughter of Anthony "Jack" Ramusivich of Charleroi and the late Tillie Ann Hall Ramusivich. She was an avid shopper and a 1978 graduate of Charleroi Area High School. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Ramusivich, in 1992. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC., 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Prayers will be said in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m., followed by interment in Monongahela Cemetery.

SMITH, Deborah Janet IN MEMORIAM
Deborah Janet Smith, 48, of 3400 Sussex Lane, Lafayette, Ind., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2008, in the Home Hospital, Lafayette. She was born January 22, 1960, in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital, the daughter of Dorothy F. Smith and James T. "Whittson" Smith. A graduate of Charleroi High School Class of 1978, she attended Purdue University, where she received her bachelor's (1990) and master's (1993) degrees in science. She was employed by Purdue University in health physics and received many awards at the time of her death. She was an active member of the 2nd Baptist Church of Lafayette, where she was a devoted choir member, Sunday school teacher and an active member doing community services. She leaves behind her loving mother, Dorothy F. Smith; brother, James T. Smith Jr. (RoxAnne), of Charleroi; sister, Toni E. Smith-Othieno (Howard), of Seattle, Wash.; three of her closest loving friends, Pastor Paul Barrett Sr. and family, Wendell and Sadie Harper-Scott and Nadine Tucker; nephews, Kevin, Tyler, James III and Howard III; nieces, Akasha, Ashley and Charlotte; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Denise Smith; grandparents, Robert and Jessie Smith Madison and James and Bertha Woods. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, where funeral services will be held Thursday, March 27, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
