Ms. Palfrey,

I just wanted to write a quick email to you regarding your site and how helpful it has been and continues to be for my family.

I recently spent an afternoon in your lovely city seeking information regarding my grandfather, Karl Keffer Jr. and his father Karl Keffer Sr.

My Great-Grandfather Karl Keffer Sr., his wife Anna and son Karl Jr. moved to your town in the early 1900's and opened the Keffer Music Studio on 5th Street. Please See Attached...

Karl Keffer Jr. attended High School in Charleroi and upon graduation went on to attend W&J 1906 - 1910. My great-grandfather & great-grandmother eventually moved from Charleroi sometime after 1910 to Perkiomville, PA where they both passed many years later. We are still searching records to pinpoint the time they moved to Charleroi and moved from Charleroi.

Our family knows very little about Karl Jr. and certainly less about Karl Sr. as Karl Jr. passed when my father Karl Keffer III was very young. Karl Keffer Sr. eventually passed a short three years after his son Karl Jr. passed so history was lost until we came upon your site.

Upon finding your site we have managed to piece together some valuable family history and really wanted to thank you for the obvious time and effort required to build, manage and maintain such an important part of Americana history much less our family's history.

Finding history records of family members and more important where and how they lived is not an easy undertaking and your site provides my family with a view into such an important period of our family which otherwise has remained lost for a generation.

Great job & with kindest regards,

Karl Keffer IV & Family
