Junior High School (1910) This school was situated behind the first school on Meadow Avenue, at 4th Street. I believe it eventually became Meadow Avenue Elementary. Crest Avenue High School (old CHS) I believe there are apartments located here in what was once an elementary school, in addition to a high school. Submitted by, Edmund Elder, '80. Ninth Street School Ninth Street School was built in 1897 and continued full operation until 1972. It was razed in 1977, to make way for "Char House", a senior citizen's apartment building.
