This photograph was submitted by, Patricia Krutz Miller (1957) and appears to have been taken, sometime around 1920. Patty's father, Jim Krutz, is the little boy in the second row from the bottom, second from the left and her Aunt Blanche is in the top row, first from the left. Ms. Alma Sneed, who many of us remember from junior high school, is the little girl, in the third row from the bottom, seventh from the left. The picture was inside a very old envelope, which had written on the outside the names of the individuals shown, here. Some of these are legible... some are not. Assistance by anyone, who is better able to clarify/identify these children and the date and place of the photo, would be greatly appreciated.

This photo looks like it's a picture of Speers Public School.  Dorothy Sutherland was from the "Speer's Sutherlands", as was Mary.  Geneology research shows that Vernon Sutherland (another "Speer's Sutherland")  like all Sutherlands who settled in the Vallye came from the same area of Sutherlandshire, Scotland. Dorothy Sutherland who later married, Verle (sp?) Ghrist, taught 5th grade around 1948/49, at Fallowfield Township Consolidated.

The second boy from the left, top row is most likely Cleon Ellis. He was the father and uncle to some of the Ellis kids, who later attended school at Fallowfield.
